Mary Kay Burdelik has been practicing law for over 30 years.  She has enjoyed much success as a defense attorney and as a plaintiff’s personal injury attorney, having over 50 jury trials to verdict.

In Medlin v. Charles Nicosia, et al., Mary Kay sued to collect for lost income, emotional distress and punitive damages where an employee was forced to leave her job after being struck by her boss in front of her co-workers.  The jury awarded the lost income of over $80,000.oo,  5k in emotional distress and $50,ooo.oo  in punitive damages against the employer.  Defendant chose to hire an additional female attorneys in this trial.  Mary Kay held out to get over 10 times the amount the judge suggested as settlement.

In a dental malpractice case, Mary Kay sued to collect money for wrong done to her client who suffered a broken piece of plastic tubing/catheter that was lost in his arm after oral surgery.  This case settled at trial and due to agreements, the amount of settlement cannot be disclosed.

In a case with a minor child struck by a motorcycle, Mary Kay agreed to a nondisclosure agreement to do the best for her client, not so that she can post and brag about the outcome.

Mary Kay truly befriends her clients.   They feel free to text her, call her, refer their friends to her.

Mrs. Burdelik has presented over 200 clients before the Mandatory Arbitration system and sits as Chairperson when called upon as an arbitrator for Cook County.

Personally, The Burdeliks have given to the “Off the Street Club,”  “Toys for Tots,”  NAMI, have had private fundraiser for the hurricane victims in Puerto Rico.  Mary Kay was the president of Benjamin Franklin Grammar School’s PTO and the Maine South Hawk Football Committee.
